Architect Yacov Chernikhov

Yakov Chernikhov

1889-1951

Born in Pavolgrad to an impoverished family. In 1916 he was offered an opportunity to study at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St Petersburg.

He was an architect, graphic designer and prolific writer with a particular interest in the Constructivist, Suprematist and Futurist movements.
