Moritz Hadda

1887 – 1941

Wroclaw (Breslau)

Architect, studied under Hans Poelzig worked with Ludwik Schlesinger (Hadda and Schlesinger). Involved in the design of family homes – Nowa Rzeczywistość and the WUWA (Wohnungs und Werkraumausstellung, Workplace and House Exhibition) organised by the Deutscher Werkbund. Deported to Kaiserwald concentration camp Riga 25th November 1941 where he was murdered. His brother-in-law was architect and artist Heinrich Tischler, his nephews Hans and Franz Tischler (Trenton) came to England, Hans built the Aylesbury Estate and Franz worked on the the Festival of Britain site on the Southbank.
