Leopold Riss

Leopold Riss/ Reiss studied at TU Wien, graduating in 1907. employed by Alexander Neumann and Arnold Hatschek and K Gaeber. He was a well-known city architect in Lviv/Lvov/Lemberg (at different times the same city has been known by all these names, and worked on many local projects with other well-known architects. He had a particular interest in Jewish Community architecture and was a member of the Committee for the Protection of Jewish Art Monuments, here he would have come into contact with Alfred Grotte.

He died during WW2 a victim of the Holocaust, the precise date is not known.
