Siedlungen der Berliner Moderne Großsiedlung Siemensstadt

Translating as the Settlements of Berlin Modernism, this is the name used to describe the six residential estates in and around Berlin.  Building began just before WW1 and was completed under the guiding hand of National Socialism regardless of the fact that several of the significant architects who had worked on the project were now living outside of Germany.

Heading the planning was Martin Wagner and Bruno Taut supported by Walter Gropius, Hans Sharoun.

The settlements in the project were the

Falkenberg garden city: Bruno Taut and Heinrich Tessenow

Schillerpark: Bruno Taut, Max Taut and Hans Hoffmann

Carl Legien: Bruno Taut and Franz Hillinger

Wohnstadt: Martin Wagner, Otto Rudolf Salvisberg, Bruno Ahrends, Wilhelm Büning

Siemensstadt:Hans Scharoun, Walter Gropius, Fred Format, Hugo Häring, Paul Rudolf Henning

Großsiedlung Britz: Bruno Taut and Martin Wagner
